As someone who was abused in church, I cannot reconcile the difference between Jesus and the people who claim to be serving him by abusing others. For that reason, I will likely never trust a “higher power “ again.

My father studied Hebrew so he could interpret the original biblical text for himself. Yes, many aspects of the Bible are historical. But others are just stories.
