Citizen journalism has many names. It’s called collaborative media, participatory journalism, democratic journalism, grassroots journalism, or street journalism. The process is about community members actively collecting, reporting, analyzing, disseminating, and commenting on news. It costs us nothing, so we needn’t worry about financial pressure skewing our stories. We can decide to find and report facts authentically.
